Highlights of the programs assisted and other relevant achievements/ issues upto 31.03.2024:

  1. NCDC has assisted more than 650 Primary Dairy Cooperatives through District Dairy Unions for construction of Milk Collection Centers, establishment of Bilk Milk Coolers (BMC) in the State of Gujarat.
  2. Assistance of Rs. 360 Crore to Gujarat State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd.(GUJCOMASOL) for supporting MSP operation in Gujarat.
  3. Towards a push for digitisation, NCDC has assisted the computerization programmes of Gujarat State Cooperative Cotton Federation Ltd.(GUJCOT), Gujarat State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd.(GUJCOMASOL) and Sabarkantha District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd., Himmatnagar in the past.

  4. Assistance of ₹ 19.73 crore to Bharuch District Co-operative Milk Producers Union Limited for setting up a Cattle Feed Plant of 100 MTPD capacity in Tribal Region Dediyapada in aspirational District Narmada.

  5. Sanctioned ₹ 29.91 crore to Kutch District Co-operative Milk Producers Union Limited for setting up a Cattle Feed Plant of 300 MTPD capacity in Bhuj, Dist-Kutch.
  6. Sanctioned ₹ 62.95 crore for Ultra-Modern 45 KLPD Ethanol Plant to Narmada Sahakari Khand Udyog Mandali Limited in Aspirational District Narmada.
  7. District level Milk Producers Unions mainly Sabarkantha, Panchmahal, Banaskantha, Bharuch, Surat, Kutch have sanctioned funds for  Creation/Expansion of storage facilities, Chilling center, Modernization of processing capacity of milk products and Establishment of Hi-tech Quality Testing Equipment.
  8. Sanctioned ₹ 77.00 crore to Surat Vankar Sahakari Sangh Limited, Surat for setting up of modern 25000 ring spindle yarn mill in tribal area of ​​Mangrol taluka of Surat District.
  9. LINAC-RTC, Gandhinagar, conducted 6 online training programme for Primary Level Cooperative Society in FY 2023-24.

  10. LINAC-RTC, Gandhinagar, conducted 5 PMMSY training programme in FY 2023-24.

  11. LINAC-RTC, Gandhinagar organized Online Training Programme on “Role of Women Directors in Governance & Business Development in Coops/SHGs” on 19.05.2023 in which 30 women participated.

  12. Assisted Gujarat’s only women milk marketing union, Shree Morbi District Mahila Milk Producers Cooperative Union for construction of 2 Milk chilling centres and 10 micro chilling units by sanctioning ₹ 3.00crore to the Union.

  14. Tribal Dairy Cooperatives are being assisted through district Dairy Unions. During FY 2021-22, More than 30 Tribal Cooperatives have been assisted through District Dairy Unions. One Women Cooperative in Amreli District under AMI Scheme.

  15. Registration of 50 FPOs in Morbi, Banaskantha, Junagadh, Sabarkantha, Amreli, Mahisagar and Narmada districts of Gujarat. Against the allocated target of 23 FPOs, 12 FPOs have been registered so far in Gujarat in FY 2023-24.

  16. Registration of NCDC‘s first FFPO in the district of Navsari. So far, 6 FFPOs have been registered in the State of Gujarat and Daman & Diu.

  17. The LINAC Regional Cooperative Training Centre of NCDC was inaugurated in the year 2019-20 at Gandhinagar. It conducts regular training programmes on for primary cooperatives.

New Initiatives taken in the Region during Year F.Y. 2023-24:

1. GUJCOMASOL (Gujarat State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd) was sanctioned financial assistance of ₹68.36 Lakh for renovation of godowns under AMI scheme. 

2. GUJCOMASOL (Gujarat State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd) was sanctioned ₹945 Crore for MSP operations for the first time in Gujarat.

3. Proposal of GUJCOMASOL (Gujarat State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd) for Establishment of lntegrated Agro Logistic park at Block cost of ₹64.45 Crore has been generated.

4. Six FPOs were sanctioned Working Capital Loan against Credit Guarantee Scheme for Farmer Producer Organisation (CGSFPO)-NABSanrakshan, for the credit facility.

5. Proposal of Shree Mahavir Machhimaar Sahakari Mandali Ltd, Mangrol Dist- Junagadh for purchase of 30 deep sea fishing vessels at Block cost of 36.00 crore has been sanctioned.

Regional Training Centre (RTC) Gandhinagar:

The LINAC Regional Cooperative Training Centre inaugurated in the year 2019-20  on the first floor of the Directorate building with a sitting capacity of about 45 participants at a time. It is fully air-conditioned centre with all necessary facilities.

Six Training Programs (Five Online and one offline) and five PMMSY training programmes (offline) were conducted by RTC Gandhinagar. The participants were briefed about the various schemes of NCDC for availing financial assistance.

Regional Training Centre, Gandhinagar  also successfully organized one  day online training program exclusively for women cooperatives and SHG which saw enthusiastic participation by numerous women from cooperatives and SHG from various districts of Gujarat. The topic of online training program was Role of Women Directors in Governance and Business Development in Cooperatives.

56 nominations were received for Regional Award 2023. The Regional Award Ceremony was held on 12.03.2024 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Four cooperatives were selected for Award of excellence and Four Cooperatives were selected for award of Merit.

Initiatives for development of Aspirational Districts (identified by NITI Aayog) through Cooperatives:

Aspirational District:  1. Narmada 2. Dahod

  • During FY 2023-24, an assistance of Rs. 113 crores has been released in the Aspirational District Narmada and 0.64 crores in Dahod.
  • Released assistance to District Dairy Union Bharch for setting up Cattle feed plant of 100 MTPD capacities at Dediyapada Block of Narmada.
  • Assisted Shree Narmada Khand Udyog Sahakari Mandli Ltd. for establishment of 45 KLPD Ethanol Plant with financial assistance of Rs.24.30 crore at Nandod Block of Narmada.
  • Assisted Shree Narmada Khand Udyog Sahakari Mandli Ltd.  with Rs. 65.72 Crore for expansion of existing Ethanol plant from 45 KLPD to 90 KLPD.

 

Success Stories :

Valsad Navsari Jilla Fal Ane Shakbhaji Sahakari Sangh Ltd.” owner of brand “AMIDHARA” is a Co-Op Society Union having primary Horticulture Farmers Co-Op Societies as its members. There are 22 primary Co-Operative society members of VJFS with 45000 farmer members. The processing facility and infrastructure is located at Gandevi in Navsari district of Gujarat state. The Union deals in Fresh, Processed and Frozen Fruits and Vegetables in addition to other Food products. The Union is manufacturing and exporting Kesar Mango Pulp, Alphonso Mango Pulp. Mango Slices, Chikoo Pulp, Chikoo Slice, other Canned vegetables, Ready to Eat Curried Vegetables, various types of Pickles, Chutney, Paste, Tomato Ketchup, Jam and several kinds of Fruit Juices in “AMIDHARA” brand. We also process Tomato, Papaya, and Guava, Banana and other fruits and vegetables in different forms. Fresh Fruits and Vegetables are being supplied to domestic and overseas customers.

All the production activities are carried out in a very hygienic condition as per quality and food safety standards requirement for domestic and various export markets. The F&V Union is certified with ISO 22000:2005, USFDA and FSSAI.

Shree Narmada Khand Udyog Sahakari Mandli Limited Narmada

The sugar mill was commenced its operation in 1996-97 with the crushing capacity of 2500 TCD. Total 22818 cane growers’ farmers are the members of the Sugar mill. The sugar mill has recently undergone modernization for improvement in its crushing capacity. By the virtue of progressive management, the sugar mill has also established an Ethanol plant of 45KLPD capacity with the assistance of NCDC.

Shahakari Khand Udyog Mandal Ltd., Gandevi, Dist. Navsari

The sugar mill has recently undergone modernization for improvement in its crushing capacity. By the virtue of progressive management, the sugar mill has also undergone an expansion of Ethanol plant from 45KLPD to 95 KLPD capacity with the assistance of NCDC.

 

Union Territory of Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu

U.T. of Daman and Diu comprises two districts namely Daman and Diu. Both Districts are situated on western coast of India at a distance of about 700 kms. Daman is the head Quarter of this U.T. There are 100 cooperatives out of which 68 are functional
